Alexandra Libby completedand defended her dissertation, "Piety and Politics in Peter Paul Rubens's 'Triumph of the Eucharist' Tapestry Series,'" in the Fall of 2013. She has presented at several conferences related to this topic, and most recently moderated a symposium dedicated to Rubens's "Triumph of the Eucharist" series at The John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art in Sarasota, Florida. Prior to coming to Maryland she was the Assistant Curator of European Art at the Ringling Museum of Art, where she curated several exhibitions, including Thomas Chimes and the Art of Painting (2007), Old Master Drawings from The John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art (2008), and Venice in the Age of Canaletto (2009). She received her master's degree in the History of Art from Boston University in 2007 and her bachelor's degree in Art with a concentration in Art History from Colby College in 2003.
