Lisa Trever is an art historian and archaeologist who specializes in the art, architecture, and visual culture of ancient and colonial Latin America. She is assistant professor of visual studies in the History of Art Department at the University of California, Berkeley. She completed the PhD in History of Art and Architecture at Harvard University in 2013. Previous degrees include the MA in Art History from the University of Maryland, College Park in 2005 and the BA in Archaeological Studies from Yale University. She was a William R. Tyler Fellow in Pre-Columbian Studies at Dumbarton Oaks in 2011–13 and has received grants from the Fulbright-Hays DDRA program and the Wenner-Gren Foundation for Anthropological Research.
