Marie Ladino specializes in the art of early modern Southern Europe. Marie has held internships at the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum in Santa Fe, New Mexico, and the National Museum of Women in the Arts in Washington, DC. During the 2011-2012 academic year, she was a University of Maryland Museum Fellow at the National Gallery of Art in Washington, DC, where she worked in the Department of Old Master Prints and Drawings. Marie is currently an Editorial Assistant for the scholarly journal American Art at the Smithsonian American Art Museum. In addition to her museum work, Marie has served as a teaching assistant for the Department of Art History and Archaeology and for the Study Abroad Program at the University of Maryland. She taught a summer course entitled Introduction to Art in 2009. Marie holds undergraduate degrees in both Finance and Art History. She received her Masters degree in Art History from the University of Maryland in 2009. Her thesis was entitled In the "Graces of His Highness the Grand Duke: Caravaggio’s Roman Patron Del Monte as a Florentine Courtier and Agent."
