The Pressly Forum

The Pressly Forum is named in honor of its founder, Bill Pressly, a Professor in the Department of Art History and Archaeology for 25 years. Bill began the forum, originally known as the "Faculty Forum," in 2009 with the goal of fostering community within the department by bringing faculty together in an informal setting to share their current work with colleagues. The format was simple: Several times during the academic year the faculty gathered for a light luncheon and an informal presentation of current research interests by one of the faculty members, followed by discussion. The group soon expanded to include graduate students in the audience and discussion. To mark his retirement in 2012, Art History faculty voted unanimously to name the Forum in honor of its founder. It continues as a tribute to Bill Pressly's dedication to enhancing the sense of community within the Art History Department.
