Georgia Kerns is a first year M.A. student studying ancient Greek art with Dr. Emily Egan. She earned her bachelor’s degrees in art history and psychology from Towson University in 2022. Georgia is interested in exploring the ways in which psychological research can aid in understanding ancient art and the experiences of ancient peoples. She volunteers with the Hellenic Heritage Museum of Maryland, aiding in documenting and researching their collection in order to create an online database. Georgia also spends time volunteering with the Visitor Experience team at the Walters Art Museum in Baltimore. Through the University of Maryland’s M.A. program, she hopes to further explore the relationship between art history and psychology, particularly as it pertains to ancient Greek art.
