Advising

Browse this page to find information about undergraduate advising for art history and archaeology students.

Students are encouraged to meet regularly with the director of undergraduate studies and the undergraduate academic advisor about coursework and academic progress toward degree requirements. Students wishing for help with professional development and resources, summer internships and preparation for graduate school are encouraged to reach out to Kate Juhl and Caroline Bodnar at ARHU Advising (click here).

At least once each semester, all art history majors and minors must schedule a mandatory advising appointment in order to register for classes. Departmental advising for courses should be arranged at least one week before registration periods begin (students should consult Testudo [link] for their registration schedule and for any blocks).

Students can make an advising appointment directly via this Google calendar. If none of these times work for you, you can contact arthadvisor@umd.edu to schedule a meeting in-person or online.
