Julia Ribblett is an MA student studying ancient Roman art and archaeology with Dr. Maryl B. Gensheimer. Julia earned a BA in Archaeology with minors in art history and anthropology from the University of Evansville in 2025. Her research interests include Roman and Etruscan monumental architecture, especially water-related architecture, urbanism, fresco painting, and technological applications to Roman/Etruscan archaeology.

Before arriving at the University of Maryland, Julia participated in excavations with the Poggio Civitate Field School in Murlo, Italy in 2023. She also held two archaeology internships with Anne Arundel County in 2022 and in 2024, respectively.
