Nan Zhong is a Ph.D. candidate and Flagship Fellow studying Chinese art history and material culture with Professor Jason C. Kuo. He received his B.A. in Journalism and Chinese literature from Jilin University, China, 2013, and his M.A. in East Asian Languages and Civilization from the University of Pennsylvania in 2020. His research focuses on the modernization of Chinese art and the transition of Chinese literati tradition in ink art and antiquarianism during the late imperial time to the Republican period.
