Bridget McElwee, Class of ’25, has been accepted to the Master’s Program in the Science of Conservation of Cultural Heritage at the University of Padova in Padua, Italy.

Interning in the Collaboratory fueled Bridget's interest in the conservation of material culture

Bridget McElwee, Class of ’25, has been accepted to the Master’s Program in the Science of Conservation of Cultural Heritage at the University of Padova in Padua, Italy.

During her time as a student, Bridget pursued a major in Art History and a minor in Archaeology, while also completing numerous Chemistry courses. She also completed an internship in the Michelle Smith Collaboratory for Visual Culture. This interdisciplinary combination of the humanities and the sciences has prepared her exceptionally well for graduate study and for a future career preserving and protecting works of art and cultural heritage.

Her acceptance into this highly specialized program reflects both her academic dedication and her passion for the conservation of cultural heritage.
