An innovative project reflecting brilliance, excellence, and collegiality amongst graduate students in the two programs

Graduate students and members of the Graduate Art History Association (GAHA) in the Department of Art History and Archaeology have published a catalogue with an unusual lens and focus. Rather than document and explore works in one exhibition, this publication considers three different shows by different members of the Spring 2024 cohort of the Masters of Fine Arts program in the Department of Art: From Beneath, the Thesis Exhibition (University of Maryland Art Gallery); Palinsopia, the Second-Year Exhibition (Stamp Gallery); and Afterimage, the First-Year Exhibition (Herman Maril Gallery). Beautifully designed and written, the catalogue is an excellent example of these students' formidable intellectual, creative, and organizational prowess.

Congratulations GAHA! May this handsome book be the first of many!
