Kevin Tervala named Eddie C. And C. Sylvia Brown Chief Curator at the Baltimore Museum of Art

We're proud that Kevin got his art history start right here at UMD

Kevin Tervala, graduated with a BA and departmental honors from the department before going on to graduate work at Harvard, where he earned his PhD. Kevin, an expert in art of the African continent, has served as curator at the BMA, rising to Department Head of Arts of Africa, the Americas, Asia, and the Pacific Islands (AAAPI) before being named interim Chief Curator when Asma Naeem, who previously held that title was promoted to Director of the BMA. 

We are very happy to announce that Kevin now has been permanently named Eddie C. And C. Sylvia Brown Chief Curator at the Baltimore Museum of Art.
