Ashley Cope named a Tyson Scholar of American Art at Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art

Ashley will be in residence in Northeast Arkansas in Spring 2026

Ashley Cope has been named a Spring 2026 Tyson Scholar of American Art at the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art in Bentonville, Arkansas. This fellowship will allow Ashley to write and conduct research to advance her dissertation project, “Bodies Beyond Binaries: Experiments in Gender and Form in Interwar U.S. Art.” As well, Ashley will form part of a four-scholar cohort that will regularly interact, with each other and with other scholars on the museum's campus and at nearby University of Arkansas, through gallery talks, brown bag lunches, and other public programming.
